We received our Travel Approval. That's supposed to be really exciting, right? And it is...but because of our other hurdles it still doesn't mean we know the exact dates we will be headed to China.
Today we took a daytrip to Kansas City to file our paperwork for the renewed background check that we need. They allowed us to write a letter to the Officer who will be adjudicating it, asking her to expedite it as quickly as possible so we could make our travel date of Aug 2nd.
Let's hope she is compassionate...we need a miracle!!
On a lighter note we have received word from some other families who are adopting from Joss's orphanage. Apparently their daughter and J are good friends. We are hoping to get pictures of them together, and to keep in touch with the family so the girls will be able to stay in touch. How sweet would that be? They are definitely old enough to remember each other and to appreciate sending letters and pictures. What would the world be without the internet??
