Oh my goodness!! One week from today we will be at the airport. Dad will have just dropped us off and we will probably be sitting in the waiting area after having gone through security (thats always fun) and trying to read or make small talk with each other. In reality I'm sure we will be very excited and nervous, and a little apprehensive at the long day we will have ahead of us.
It will take us approximately 20 hours to get to Beijing, with one stop in Detroit (and a 3 hour layover). We will land in Beijing at 9:30pm on Friday evening (which will be 8:30am Friday in Missouri) and hopefully we will be tired and able to go to sleep instead of wide awake. :)
As the days get shorter our excitement level continues to rise. We need to get serious about packing and making sure we have all of the required paperwork. Tonight we're going to get some things done since Tony has the evening off.
Everytime we go into Joss' room we marvel that within a few weeks there will be a little girl in that room. Finally we will have the joy of hearing laughter from a little one, a sound that we have been longing to hear for many years!!
