Above are pictures of Jocelyn's completed room. There are still some finishing touches that we need to do, but for the most part it is ready for her, just as we are!!
The other pictures are of quilts we received at the shower (pics to come). The first one was from Tony's aunt Marilyn, the second one from Velma Dykstra, and the third from Tony's grandma Wilma. These are definitely some talented ladies. It's wonderful that Jocelyn will have quilts and blankets that were made with love.
On another note, I sent off the one care package that we are allowed to send to Jocelyn. It seems as if adoption agencies have different rules about this. Ours asks that only parents adopting a child 2 or more years old send a package. We sent a small stuffed bear, a photo album with pictures of mama, daddy, lola and her new home and her cute room, and a disposable camera. Hopefully the orphanage workers will show her the photos and talk to her about what will be happening so she is well prepared. Hopefully they will also take some photos with the camera that we can develop once we are home!!
