Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers, and the soon-to-be fathers!!

Today I have thought about my own father who I respect and admire more than I could ever put into words. He is a great man who is full of love and wisdom. I love you dad!! No matter how old I get I will always be your little girl! Thank you for showing me Jesus.

I also have thought about my father-in-law who is an incredible father and grandfather. I have heard stories from Tony about the hours he spent with his children, helping them with homework, teaching them sports, and being involved in everything they were interested in. Now he is completely in love with all of his grandchildren. He is a great role model!

Lastly but definitely not least, I have thought about my husband who is soon to be a father. Tony has a father's heart and has desired to have a family for many years. He will be an incredible father and I can't wait to see him with Jocelyn. He already has plans of what he wants to do with her and things he wants to teach her. I am blessed to have found someone who loves children as much as I do. Tony, I love you and I admire you!!

Make sure you hug your dad today and tell him what he means to you. The world would not be the same without our fathers!!!

What Makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ...
Dad
