Can It Be?

Is it possible that 2 months have gone by already?

A coworker was asking me about the progress of our adoption and I realized that we have been "pregnant" for 2 months now. Where did the time go? What have we been doing???

Well, not obsessing about the adoption (yet!!). We've been busy with our jobs and doing small things around the house, just going about the routines of our life. I have bought a few items (clothing) for when the little one(s) gets here. I swear I'm going to post a few pics. Some of the outfits are too adorable to not share!!

We're also hoping that the wait time from log in date to referral goes back down. Right now it is at 13 months, which would put us at July for referral and September for travel to China. I spoke with our CHI contact the other day and she said she has seen the CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs) double up on the matching process so they could get caught up in the past. That would be awesome if they could do it again!! Anything less than 13 months would be grea with us!!

It seems as if adoption has surrounded us. We have close friends who have started the process, though they are going through Russia, I have a coworker that I visit with occasionally who has adopted 2 children from China, a coworker who just received TA (travel approval) and will be heading to China in a few weeks, and a coworker who just started the process to adopt a child from China. Maybe there is something in the water around here. :)

On a personal note, we are expecting another nephew in November, which we are very excited about. We enjoy our niece and nephew so much (though we don't seem them near enough!!) and can't wait for another one to get here. My in-laws are in HEAVEN with all the babies around!! Life just doesn't get much better for them than this. Soon they are going to have so many they won't know what to do!!
